About Katie

Prior to training as a counsellor, I have worked in various professions related to care, guidance and listening. These include residential care work, befriending services, advocacy, and both political and therapeutic youth work.

I have always been inspired by the unique and close connection formed in counselling, and the platform this relationship can offer in terms of opening-up hidden spaces, exploring and getting to know ourselves and cultivating change.

As well as delighting in my work as a therapist, I also work in music and performance. I love to cook, and eat. I enjoy being outdoors, sitting round a campfire.

PROFESSIONAL MATTERS:

As a therapist, I am committed to reflective practice and engage in regular supervision. I am a member of a wonderful peer support group who help me to consider, and monitor my ongoing working practice.

I am a fully accredited member of the National Counselling Society
